There’s never been a better time to teach kids that they can make the world a better place simply by taking an interest in their environment and making greener choices. If children are going to make a lifelong commitment to protect the environment for themselves and future generations, they first need time to explore the wonders of nature.Tree Kids e1324351988894 200x300 tree kids + teachers

Kids are losing touch with nature
These days many children have less time and fewer opportunities to connect with nature.

This is a real loss because research shows that contact with nature makes kids feel better about themselves. Let’s give kids GREEN POWER – the power to make the world a better place!

Children need trees and there’s so much to learn from nature. One of the best ways to learn about nature and the environment is to plant a tree of your own and watch it grow.

Teachers please contact us request free tree seedlings for your tree planting program. Love Trees will donate the pesticide-free seedlings and ship them to you.

Order requirements for school teachers requesting trees:

1) Please order between March 31, 2012 and May 9, 2012. Minimum school orders of 200 seedlings.

2) Children and youth must plant the trees.

3) Email your (teacher’s) name, school name, mailing address and phone number, the number of trees requested and a brief description of the project that we can post on the charitree.ca site

4) after the event photos and or a quote that we can post are always appreciate but not essential.

5) make a wish for the planet and send it out to the world. (We only post first names)

“I found the Love Trees website of Andrea Koehle Jones.  Andrea is Executive Director of Love Trees as well as the ChariTree Foundation.  What a godsend!  She responded promptly, agreed that she thought my projects were great, and said that she was happy to provide trees for both of my projects as well as shipping (so there will be no cost to me or our school).  After receiving such an exceptional response from Andrea, I did a little searching, and found out that she is also the author of the children’s environmental picture book The Wish Trees,” Ryan Flood, Visual Arts Teacher, Martin Collegiate.
